Dan's first year at the Johnson School is over. He's been incredibly bored for the past two weeks, and is eager to start his internship next weekend. His brother came to visit last week and they built some wheels for Moo. The apparatus still needs some tinkering, and the dog is a little embarassed about using it in public.
Sunday was commencement and Ithaca was hopping. The traffic on Friday was redick. People have been known to rent out rooms in their homes because the hotels fill up quickly. Our complex actually rents out furnished townhouses for the weekend. Most of the students have packed up and left for the summer and it's super quiet. No one to watch outside of my office window.
Yesterday would have been my mom's 49th birthday. I woke up in a panic because I couldn't remember how old she was. I went through an assortment of moods--hysteria, calm, restlessness, boredom...
We hit Robert Treman park, which is by far the most amazing spot in Ithaca that we have discovered. The waterfalls are spectacular, and it's got a big swimming hole -- much grander than Buttermilk. Danny and I wadded in to one portion to cool off from the suffocating heat...my suffocating emotions. Water is a great healer. I immediately felt better and Danny said I was smiling. I ran some water through my hair and...well, it sorta felt like a baptism. I felt cleansed for a few crisp moments.

Fuq a duq man! I missed this blog yesterday! How could that have happened, since I'm a regular checker - since I'm usually so friggin slow.
Congrats to Dannyboy, I hate to say it, but it really seems like that year flew by. Really tho, it seems like just yesterday that I was taking pics at Marietta as we were packing you up.
Moo's got wheels now eh? Awww, poor thing, embarassed in public? Too cute.
As for nothing to watch outside your window - I recommend taking up the fine ol habit of nose picking. Highly self entertaining.
Doooode- gotta post some pics of this amazing park, yo.
I couldn't agree more, water is the best. does the school have a pool that you can use? Currently, I'm trying to locate one near us b/c I miss swimming so very much. something about it-just eases me, drastically. it's like I took a valium or something.
Missed you, ya bloggers, ya wit, y'know - all of the above.
