Monday Jitters

It's Sunday afternoon and I'm still writing that overwhelming brochure on six decades of music making. It's boring me to tears.

The boys are playing golf. We had our normal Sunday breakfast--Chris, Marshy and I hit Wegmans. I took a nice hot bath with my new lavendar oil. I finally finished The Secret Life of Bees last week and started Shoot the Moon by Billie Letts. The storyline is just ok, but it's one of those books where you can't wait to see what happens next.

Friday night we went to happy hour at the Chapter House and had a blast. Emily, Rick, Elizabeth, Matt, Dan, Chris and I hit Ruloff's afterwards for some more beer and burgers. It was a great night, and I was in bed by 10:30. Elizabeth, Emily and I agreed that we would do this every Friday.

Yesterday while Chris, Rick and DAn played golf, Emily and I hit the Farmer's Market for samosas and chai tea. It was a magnificent day. We both had on flip flops and t-shirts. I had my new long bohemian rose colored skirt on. We felt great. We hit TJ Maxx to see if we could find a dress for Emily - Rick's sister's wedding next month -- but no such luck. We came home to take naps, but it just didn't work out for me. I planted my cucumber, tomato, chive and basil seeds; read some more; and took a long hot bath. The gang came back from golf, everyone had a few beers and we went our separate ways. Chris, Dan and I hit Joe's for a nice Italian meal and we finished off the night with some Beam and Coke and the flick Independence Day.

Signing off - gotta finish up my work.

Yo - we gots to play golf again.. if you are interested. And if you are, I think we should try a niner instead of the full course. I will admit, it gets to be a bit much. I do think tho - that I need more spiffy attire.

ooohh.. lavendar oil. Love it. The apple oil that you sent me is so refreshing - esp this time of year. I was burning some the other day, thinking of you, and loving how the breeze carried it thru the house.

Your happy hour sounds awesome - but then again you can always sign me up for anything with an alchol-routine.

:o)
