Weekend Recap

So Emily, Elizabeth and I hit happy hour again on Friday night. It was really humid that day and I just couldn't stop perspiring. We also went to Stella's for dinner (same owners as Olivia) with the boys, which had fabulous blueberry mojitos.

Saturday I slept in and hit August Moon Spa for an afternoon of indulgence (thanks again Stace). It was so wonderful -- swedish massage, vinotherapy soak, foot parafin dip, sauna. I fell in love with the place.

The weather was wretched, so Baby and I didn't go exploring. Dan and I drove about town though to see what else we could find. Nothing to report. We hit up Pier 1 for some new drinking glasses. I also bought some candles - Aspen Flower - what a lovely scent. We found this Italian restaurant on South Hill called Franco's, which Dan heard good things about. Food was pretty good, though the atmosphere was a little strange. Lots of old people.

Sunday was the usual - brunch, house cleaning and cooking. Made a big meal--boneless pork chops, spanish rice, black beans (which take about 4 hours to cook), potato salad, fresh greens with tomoatoes, onions and feta. It was wonderful. Plenty of leftovers.

Moo is at Cornell today and tonight to have his chest x-rays and mri. I about lost my marbles when the neurologist told us that they don't really have much of a clue as to what's going on with him and if his condition can be helped. It's amazing how your brain can just shut down. I came home yesterday and fell asleep on the couch for almost 3 hours--in the middle of a workday!

My tomato plants are growing. They are so cute.

Signing off.

I've been eating Doritos on and off for over an hour now. I can't stop.

Anyhooo - how's Moo?

You think you slept alot - eh? I came home from Allison's shower on Sat early, round 3pm and slept till 8pm. Woke up, ate, went back to sleep by 930pm and slept the whole night through till 8am. Woke up, ate, and slept again from 10 to 2pm. I think that's how I got my voice back.

But guess what? I'm still tired. Can't seem to win.
